Marie

A couple weeks ago I did a shoot with Numa Model Marie. Jessica Pechet was our director and fabulous photograher, Teslin Ward did make-up and Nicole Sanders from Hedkandi Salon was on hair. I pulled from NRT, Holts, Mealan, and Apt 22. This was definitely one of the more edgy shoots I have ever done and when Jessica is shooting there is always an element of suprise :)! This shoot we had a fog machine - it was the most entertaining thing and I realized I may have a career in low brow special effects ;) I ended up having the title as fog technician/ stylist by the end of this.

Bon Voyage

Christian Dior Resort 2012. I know we are still in summer 2011 - but this is something to look forward to or even get on board early for! This photo shoot enticed me and truly excited me for summer! Its city chic with a holiday allure that makes you want to jump on a cruise ship and meet your Italian lovah! Who knew a caftan and a couple wide brim hats could create such a fantasy!

See for yourself and get CHIC for summer.

Messy ME

(Above: Rag&Bone Fall 2011, Band of Outsiders Fall 2011, Alexander McQueen Spring 2011)

Lately I have been so board with my hair! I wanted to find a new style fresh for summer, I have found the MESSY braid movement - Braids have been a common summer hair trend always (probably originally made famous by maidens in mid-evil times, but then Lauren Conrad had a vision and a rogue braid was on the side of every girls head ;)

Then in 2010 Alexander Wang debuted the messy side braid on his Fall runway. Now in 2011 Celebes and runways are still rocking the braids and you should to!

Don't have enough hair? Clip-in extensions ladies! They are easy and so much fun - you can find them at your local beauty supply or if your feeling brave (and competent) you can sew them yourself!

Its a fun style that screams chic!

Make it as polished or crazy as you like - as long as you ROCK the braid this summer!

Here are some fun style ideas and a clip from Fashion Magazine on how to do some basic braided styles...

Sample Sale Sample Sale!

I have to say this Saturday was a good one! I went to the Gerry Thomas Gallery for the Designer Sample Sale that PARK hosted and it was such a hit - I practically spent my entire day there, I seriously should have had my own booth I was there for so long. Jalu, Paul Hardy, Anne b Accessories, Lara Presber and Caitlin Power all graced us with their collections at a steal of a deal! Jalu was taking orders for their current collection and offered 15% off and Caitlin had her entire rack of samples marked down - basically it was every girls sale heaven and the crowd was so much fun I just couldn't leave, people just kept coming in and I found myself shopping with a different group of friends every 10 minutes. Congrats to PARK for putting on a fabulous sample sale YOU BETTER be planning the next one ;) I had such a great time!

I ended up purchasing an amazing bracelet from Anne b Accessories and a fabulous pair of pants from Caitlin Power (stay tuned for the pants, I will definitely be doing a photo shoot with these badboys very soon!)

Luanne's (Designer of Jalu Clothing) new baby pug!! Another reason why I couldn't leave!
