Grease

So I haven't done a post in a while... I could blame a lack of inspiration, laziness, or disinterest. Whatever it may be I think I just needed a new piece of clothing to get excited about! That will get any fashion gal chatting! My new high rise Citizen of Humanity coated denim ($275 @ Aritzia).  A highbred of denim and liquid sex! These bad boys look like leather but feel like sweat pants. I shot them with an ode to Olivia Newton John, once she ditched the poodle skirt and went all bad ass at the end of the movie Grease! I felt the nostalgia and ran with it...take a look and feel inspired! xoxox

H&M bodysuit $14.95, Zara clutch $35.90, Ecco leather collar at Holt Renfrew $45.00, CofH denim at Aritzia $275, denim jacket Cat's Eye Vintage, Jeffery Campbell studded flats $165, heart shaped glasses (venice beach purchase)

I need your VOTE!

Early January I participated in a style off at Chinook Centre with 2 other Calgary Stylist. The set's theme was "the death of winter" which kicked off the setting for us Stylist to create a fabulous (hopefully winning) Spring/Summer 2012 look!

The catch...

Incorporate a garden hose into your shoot - I have to say at first I thought "WTF am I going to do with this thing" but then the creative juices started kicking in and I realized that a garden hose is quiet diverse. I didn't want to make the hose "fashion" as you would not wear a garden hose so why show you how to wear it, right!? - instead, I wanted to make it look some what avant garde and use it as a prop...I turned the hose into a whimsical flower shape and used it as a collar like prop...I felt the shape was fitting for the season and brought an editorial feel.

My look is now posted on the Chinook Centre FB page and I NEED YOUR VOTES - Please go onto the page and "like" my look. I need everyones support to win.

Much LOVE!

Sunday

So normally I truly prefer to be on the styling end of a photo shoot and ideally I would be styling Ania b ;). But on Sunday, Creative Director of SDS Marketing Shea Kerwood photographed a little creative starring me! It was extremely impromptu - I decided that the shoot needed a little color last minute and added PINK lipstick I randomly found in my purse. The chiffon piece I wore is actually a skirt by Cheap Monday and I happened to be wearing a BCBG ring that I thought could be thrown into the mix. All super random yet everything came together quiet nicely and to my surprise I really enjoyed getting in front of the camera. Shea and I hope to create something fun, great, and inspiring each month - but I will definitely be solely styling the next one!

Stay tuned for more...

Hunny Bunny!

The center fold is HOT this holiday season, Lindsay Lohan graced the center pages of Playboy and went all out with a smokin Marilyn stand off. A $1 million dollar check and the girl didnt even have to give up all the goods. I am loving the nostalgia AND I am actually impressed with Lindsay! Girlfriend looks good!

Take a look at this sexy shoot with a pinch of old Hollywood glam!
